You must have noticed I've been kinda obsessed with lipstick swatches lately. Its just I'm trying to cover ALL the lipstick shades from ALL the brands – Indian and International. And this obsession has given me bruised arms lately.some of the lipstick swatches won't go for days! This time its MAC's turn. MAC has got a 1000 lipsticks and I WILL swatch them all here.promise! Today I'm going to show you some of the best permanent pink lipsticks Mac has. I managed to swatch 11 of them in a go without arousing suspicion! I'm trying to be the next KarlaSugar and Temptalia!

Mac Matte Lipstick Colors
1. Please Me: is described as 'mid-tone warm pink'. Finish: Matte. It will suit girls with fair skin tones and reminds me of Colorbar Thrilling Pink.
2. Impassioned: is described as 'bright warm pink'. Finish: Amplified Creme meaning a creamy finish and medium to full pigmentation. Its a bright neon pink shade which is a favourite among the beauty bloggers.
Mac emulator for win 7. 3. Fanfare: is described as 'mid-tone yellow pink'. Finish: Cremesheen meaning its moisturizing, creamy and has medium-to-full pigmentation. Again a beautiful light pink for fair skin tones.
4. On Hold: is described as 'mid tone yellow raspberry'. Finish: Cremesheen. Its a very MLBB kind of shade for Indian skin tones.

6. Speed Dial: is described as 'light blue pink'. Finish: Cremesheen. Its a bright bubblegum pink which will suit girls with american skin since the blue in it is very obvious.
7. Craving: is described as a 'burst of plum'. Finish: Amplified Creme. Its a plummy pink lipstick shade which will suit dusky to olive skin tones a lot.
8. Mehr: is described as 'dirty blue pink'. Finish: Matte. Its meant for Indian skin tones and recommended by MAC Artist Mickey Contractor. I've seen girls with fair to dusky skin tones carrying it with equal ease. Its a pretty everyday blue pink. Follow the link for the lip swatches.
9. Pink Nouveau: is described as 'mid-tone cool pink'. Finish: Satin. Its a bright blue pink and reminds me a lot of Candy Yum Yum although Pink Nouveau is less wearable than CYY and slightly more blue.
10. Crosswires: is described as 'clean pinky orange'. Finish: Cremesheen. Its a pretty coral pink shade with a subtle shine. It suits all Indian skin tones and is one of the prettiest coral shades Mac has.
11: Cosmo: is described as 'Pink Coco'. Finish: Amplified Creme. Its an everyday dirty pink which works as a MLBB lipstick for medium to dusky Indian skin tones. Its a dupe of Mehr and quite similar to Twig.

Firsts are always special and while picking up her first Mac lipstick, every girl goes through this phase: madly searches google for mac lipstick swatches. If I've to pick my favourites, then I would love somebody to gift me Impassioned, Mehr or Crosswires. Yup I know Crosswires is not exactly pink and I should have swatches it with coral lipsticks but I've been obsessed about it from quite some time and when I saw it at the Mac store I forgot all about my project and immediately swatches it on my hand. Given my love for coral and peach shades over pinks and reds, I might pick it up next.
Btw Sailor is insisting on gifting me a lipstick for my birthday. Decisions decisions! The red lipsticks swatches will follow soon with orange, nude, plum and miscellaneous not far behind. Which is your favourite pink lipstick from MAC?

Mac Mehr was launched as a Limited Collection lipstick few years back with the Mickey Contactor collection along with Double Shot, Tabla and Yash. That range was an instant hit with us Indians and was sold out everywhere within weeks of its launch. Mehr was the only lipstick I wanted desperately Middle Eastern Lipstick Collection. Later Mac introduced Mehr again as part of its permanent collection. It had to! I first saw it online after reading the rave reviews and swatches.I fell in love with the shade…sounds like falling in love online! Every time I hit the MAC store in my city, it would be out of stock. I used to talk to Mehr in my tanhaayi and soon I got my hands on it!
Mac describes Mehr as a dirty blue pink. The shade looks like a pretty brown in the bullet but looks neutral rosy pink on my lips. The shade does have a little cool tone to it. It is a matte lipstick which is why I just love it. The colour didn't show up that good in my swatches. The photos just don't capture the pink in it. It would suit fair to medium Indian skin tones. I feel it would wash out the dusky girls. I basically use it to club with my smoky eyes looks and it works really nicely that way. Although its good to wear during the day too.
The colour resembles Cosmo a lot.although in finishes they are poles apart. Cosmo is creamy while Mehr is matte. But if you have one then you don't need the other one. But if you are a Mac lover than you are excused to get both of them!

Even though the texture is matte, it is non-drying and glides so smoothly on lips that you might think it is from the Satin range and got launched by mistake with the matte collection! But still proper exfoliation of lips before applying it is suggested. Girls with dry lips may need a lip balm underneath it or can top it up with a clear lip gloss to avoid drying of lips. The staying power of the lipstick is approx. 6 hours. It transfers a bit but which can be ignored.
The lipstick comes in the usual black case and signature vanilla fragrance.

The good things about Mac Mehr lipstick:
- The lovely neutral dirty pink that looks fab on fair to medium Indian skin tones.
- The lovely vanilla fragrance
- Its matte but still glides easily on lips.
- Light weight
- Quite pigmented – One or two swipes are enough to give opaque coverage.
Now the bad things about the matte lipstick:
- As it is the hottest selling shade, you might not find it most of the times because it is out of stock mostly
- Dry lips girls should apply a lip balm or gloss with the lipstick.

My final word: Mac Mehr lipstick is a must buy for those neutral pink lovers but still I feel it is not an unusual shade and you can easily find some dupes of it at an affordable price but still a MAC is MAC! Its a dirty cool pink which would wash out dusky skin tones. Both Mehr and Cosmo are quite similar when it comes to the shade. So if you like creamy lipsticks then go for Cosmo and Mehr for matte texture.
